Fragment #6
This week’s FRAGMENT is from a lesson plan included in a writing course I developed on how to sound like you while writing. I wrote this almost immediately after a nasty breakup from my long-term boyfriend. I was on deadline for it, and writing has always been a way for me to take care of myself. So I figured I could purge myself by walking others through their own catharsis. Creating this course, helping to give the gift of crafting authentic-sounding prose to others, healed me in a way I didn’t fully understand until I returned to it recently. The snippet doesn’t fit into traditional health modalities, but I’d argue that writing, creating, things that feel aligned with you is a phenomenal way to heal and process emotions. That’s why it’s your sixth FRAGMENT.
