This week I realized that I’ve been offering tons of skincare suggestions and not much of anything else. So let’s change that, and talk about why fake plants are superior to real ones. The apparent reason is that faux plants don’t die. But they also won’t unleash a spider mite infestation in your new apartment a week after you move in. A fake aloe plant can’t sustain mold damage and succumb to numerous attempts to save it. The upkeep of a fake pothos can’t irk you so much that you give it to your former coworker. (RIP to all my babies 😔.) Plus, faux plants are great for anyone who lives in a low-light space or is too busy to care for an actual plant yet wants the aesthetic.

I love natural plants. I can’t wait to own a home to have a garden and a few birds of paradise on my back porch. But for now, let’s get into some of the best fakes available.
